Paxton Bell  -  Assistant to Youth Ministry Director

Paxton was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and moved to the Raleigh area when he was four. He was invited as an adult guest by Pastor Greg Fisher to a youth retreat and felt called to work with the youth. He has been working with the youth ministry for over 10 years. He enjoys relational teaching the most, which include weekly activities, youth retreats, and developing bonds with the youth like Jesus does with each of us. He also has a wonderful wife, Danielle, and a beautiful daughter, Elilai.

Bill Day   L.C.S.W., Ph. D., M.A.   -  Director of Counseling Ministries

Bill has degrees in theology, social work, and psychology. Coming out of private practice as a Christian counselor, Bill has been commissioned to develop the ministries of counseling and pastoral care within the Fellowship of Christ.

Greg Fisher  -  Family Ministry Pastor

Born in Laurens, South Carolina, Greg's education includes a BS in Agriculture, M. Cert. in Bible & Missions and a Masters in Education. Greg has been in youth ministry since 1981. He has volunteered with various parachurch organizations and his pastoral ministries include United Methodist, Southern Baptist and Evangelical Presbyterian. Greg loves Jesus, his wonderful wife Debbie, two sons, Benjamin & Jonathan and the numerous youth in the youth and children ministries.

Allene Johnson  -  Church Treasurer

Allene, a native of North Carolina, was born and raised in the Sandhills area. After attending High Point College for 2 and ½ years, she worked for two years with a Real Estate and Insurance Co., becoming licensed as a broker and casualty agent. Then she spent a year plus in Vista (domestic Peace Corps) training in Albuquerque, NM and working in the migrant camps and low-income communities in and around Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She returned to the same Real Estate and Insurance Co. job for eight years. After the birth of her second child, she accepted a job as Business Manager of a medical group where she was employed for eighteen years. She then moved to Richmond, Va. as Director of Human Resources in a Medical Management Group that managed Radiology/Pathology practices from NJ to SC. Two years before the company was sold and consequently taking early retirement, she was promoted to Regional Manager of Eastern NC. Allene has two daughters, Stephanie and Catherine. Her passions are her grandchildren and people who are hurting physically, financially, and/or spiritually.

Gary McGhee  -  Assistant Pastor of Outreach and Education

Gary was born and raised in Maryville, Tennessee, near the beautiful Smoky Mountains. After graduating from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a BA in Religious Studies in 1995, he and his wife, Meredith, relocated to North Carolina for Gary to pursue his Master of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. During his time in North Carolina, Gary has served on the staff of three different churches in Raleigh, and from 2002 until 2004, he served as the Program Director at Christian Life Home, a housing ministry for young women in unplanned pregnancies. Gary and Meredith have been at Fellowship of Christ since January 2002, and they have three wonderful children: Mary Grace, Patrick, and Aidan.

David McLean  -  Senior Pastor

Born in Belgium Congo, raised by missionary parents, lived in Africa until age 13. Served in United States Marine Corps ‘65-‘70 (Vietnam ‘66-’68). Began pastoral ministry in the early 70’s. Received Master of Divinity at Duke University. Ordained in the United Methodist Church ’74. Served in the Methodist church approximately 10 years and an independent church for 9 years. Began Pastoring at FOC in July 90. Joined the EPC in 1992.

Josh McLean  -  Administration and Assistant to the Treasurer

Joshua was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and has lived in and around the area ever since. He is a graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degree in English. His career path has varied and included stints with managing a men’s clothing store, the brokerage of technology assets, teaching English literature, and finally assisting in daily administration of church affairs. He is married to Tara, a native of NJ, and currently resides in Apex, NC.

Kristen McLean  -  Youth Ministry Program Director

Kristen was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and received a Bachelor's degree in Music in vocal performance at Meredith College. She has always had a passion for people, especially young people. Having volunteered as a youth leader for 3 years and interned for a summer with Pastor Greg Fisher, she felt led into the position of Youth Director here at the Fellowship of Christ.

Nick Pettit  -  Assistant Pastor

Nick and Diane Pettit were ordained on Jan 11, 2002 and began Oak Tree Ministries, a support ministry with emphasis on training, missions, and counseling. Even though they had been in ministry for many years, Nick retired from his engineering practice and Diane closed her real estate firm in order to devote full time effort to ministry. In December of 2003 Fellowship of Christ, EPC Church (FOC) adopted Oak Tree Ministries as an extension arm of the ministry of the church and brought Nick on as part of the church staff. Both Nick and Diane are active in mentoring and teaching, with Diane mentoring those from many churches in the prophetic while Nick mentors young men in the ways of God. They both are teachers in the FOC School of the Spirit. Nick and Diane have been on many international missions trips with a current emphasis on The Democratic Republic of Congo. In Congo, they have trained many pastors and leaders in the prophetic as well as in becoming men and women of the Spirit.

Pat Smeallie  -  Health Ministry Director

Pat, a "Yankee" from Ohio, came to NC in 1997 with her husband Richard. After working as an RN for a "thousand years," she went back to school and graduated with a BS in Health Education in 2001. Her passion is to see the body of Christ be whole, not just in mind, emotions and spirit, but also in body. Out of that vision, came the Health Ministry at FOC. Again, a great team of volunteers function with her to provide such help as disease prevention workshops, blood pressure checks, CPR training, and health resources.

Pam Yarborough  -  Dance Team Leader

Pam Yarborough is founder and director of the Dance Worship Ministry at Fellowship of Christ EPC in Cary, NC. She trained as a ballet dancer for thirteen years in Raleigh and as a dance worshipper at Jubilate School of the Arts for five years. She has ministered in churches, nursing homes and various outreach events as well as ministering and teaching in several churches both in the United States and Romania. The Lord has given Pam a heart for the non-dancer. Her vision is to help prepare the body of Christ for worship both now and when He triumphantly returns.
