Children's Ministry at FOC

God has called all of His children (no matter the age) to love, serve and honor Him. It's interesting that Jesus never told the parents to take the children somewhere else while He was ministering. He did just the opposite and told the children to come to Him. His heart was drawn to the children and their innocence and yearning to know Him. He calls for us to be just like that. In fact, if we are not like the children, He says we cannot see His Kingdom. We have much to learn from the way our children view and understand Jesus and His word.

Our desire is to see children move in the things of God, for them to learn to worship the Lord freely with their whole hearts and to experience His presence. We need to instruct them and inspire them in their growth in the Lord and to help parents in their role of making disciples of their children and to help train up our young people to be mighty for God.

Currently, the children's programs consist of:

1st service: Children's Church for ages 3 through 5th grade. The topic is Missions. Nursery available
                     for those under age 3.

2nd service: Age level Sunday School classes, for toddlers through 5th grade. Curriculum used is Walk
                      With Me, www.walkwithmecurriculum.org. Nursery available for babies under age 2.

We welcome anyone who has a desire to see our children grow in the Lord to come and join us in serving in this ministry. We need all types of people so don't think God couldn't possibly use you in this ministry. Some may say "I'm not good with children." or "I wouldn't know how to answer their questions." You don't have to be good enough or know the answers. What is most important is that the children see that you love them and that Jesus loves them. They need us to spend time with them and show that we care.

Presently, our biggest need is to have a list of committed substitutes so that the current teachers and helpers can draw from them when they need to be absent.
