Missions

How were you introduced to Jesus Christ? How did you
come to know Him as Savior and Lord? What opportunities do you have
to grow and be in fellowship with other believers?
What if...
- you didn't know any believers and had never heard the good news in any relevant way?
- you lived in a land without hope?
- you were trapped in the spiritual darkness passed down for generations?
- the culture in your country villified or ridiculed Christianity?
In so many places all over the world, these "what
ifs" are true. Yet, God wants "all men (and women) to
be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth". (1 Timothy
2:4)
In Romans 10, Paul asks how people can call on God
when they've never heard the good news and how can they hear it
unless someone tells them. So, we support those who are sharing
this good news - believers who are already there and believers who
travel or move specifically to tell others about Jesus.
The map above gives the names of people and churches we at FOC support
and where they are located. To find out more about any of these
missionaries, please ask a member of the Council on Missions.

The Council on Missions meets the 2nd Sunday of every month during the first service, immeditately following our initial worship/announcement time. Council members commit to serve for at least one year. If you would like to join us or find out more about being sent out by FOC on short or long-term missions, please contact any Council member.
The Council on Missions exists to send out missionaries,
whether short-term or long-term, to be actively involved worldwide making
disciples of all nations. For details, please read our Mission Policy
provided here in PDF format.
To travel on a Fellowship mission trip for the first time,
you must complete a Missionary Application. For all subsequent trips -
even if several times in a year - you need to complete the Missionary
Application Update. Applications are available in the office. OR, both are
provided here in writeable PDF format. Click here for the first time Missionary Application. Click here for the Missionary Application Update. Instructions regarding filling out these forms are listed below.
The Missionary Application and Update are writeable PDFs. After opening
from your desktop, you can print them out and complete by hand if you
prefer. In that case, you need to give the completed application to
Bill Davis or another council member.
You can also complete the application/update on your computer. How? You
will see “yellow fields (blanks).” Place your cursor in the first
field, type your answer. Tab. It will take you to the second field.
Continue until the form is completed. If you make a mistake,
backspace/delete and retype your answer. Type font/size are part of the
form; you cannot change. Tab order is also part of the form, so if you
tab to a field you don’t need to complete, tab on to the next field
applicable for you. Your answers need to fit the yellow field. It
cannot be enlarged.
Once complete, if you want a copy for yourself, print it. You cannot
save a copy of the completed application. When ready, connect to your
email service and hit the “Email Form” button (upper right). An email
window will open with your completed form (PDF icon) and email
addresses for the Council on Missions and church office. Send. Because
the Council only meets once per month, this ensures that your
application is received in a timely fashion.
