Reconciliation
"How good and pleasant it is when brothers
live together in unity!... For there the Lord bestows his blessing..."
Psalm 133
"You are all sons of God through faith in Christ
Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed
yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave
nor free, male nor female (nor white nor black nor hispanic) for
you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galations 3:26-28
"....Red and yellow, black and white, they
are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of
the world" - song
"There ain't no railroad tracks in heaven."

side of them
For too long
Christians have allowed race and culture to come between them.
It grieves God that we're still separated on Sundays.
Reconciliation is about mending fences - about opening up not
only our building, but our hearts and lives to our brothers and
sisters of every color and background.
Although presently a majority of Fellowshippers are white, our
church body represents a spectrum of skin tones and cultures -
white, black, Asian, Indian..... - giving a richness to our body.
Also, in the past, Fellowship of Christ has "swapped"
pulpits with other churches in order to bring our congregations
together - to enjoy worship together as it will be in heaven.
We seek an end to the generational sin that separates us physically
and spiritually. We focus on the common denominator - Jesus Christ.
But more than just in church services, FOC desires that each
individual have a desire for this reconciliation in our daily
lives.
May we as churches be a light to the rest of the world instead
of known as the most segregated of all. And may we as Christians
build lasting relationships with our brothers and sisters of every
race.
If you have any questions or ideas about racial
reconciliation at the Fellowship, please contact Butch
Mills.
