Drama Team

God gave us the arts - whether it's music, painting, dance, or drama. The world uses the arts to glorify itself. The drama team at FOC desires to use drama to glorify God, edify the church, and present the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We present sketches based on Biblical truthes. Sometimes they are funny, sometimes sad, but we hope they will always teach. These sketches affect the audience as well as the actors - teaching lessons, touching hearts, and pointing to God.

Our sketches range from monologues to ones using large casts. Some last a few minutes while others are 30 minutes or more. Many of our productions are written by one of the members of the team. We present these sketches during worship services or as an outreach ministry. We keep things simple, using minimal sets and custumes. Our desire is to maintain our focus on the words God gave us.

Our team is made up of youth and adults and anyone middle school age and older is welcome to join us. No experience is necessary - just a willing heart ready to be used by God.

We meet regularly on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 at the church building. We also meet at other times as needed. When we meet we pray a little, play a little, and rehearse an upcoming sketch. It's usually a lot of fun, so come join us!
