About The Event
We are excited to again be able to offer "Restarting" at Fellowship of Christ. This 12-week program enables people to get practical advice about retraining their brains to overcome trauma and addictions. Restarting begins Saturday, September 17 from 2 to 4 pm, meeting in the lounge at FOC or online by the Zoom link you will receive. Everyone is welcome. Restarting will be facilitated by Pam Sherer and Denise Hammond.
There are many things in our lives that we get attached to. Some of them are beneficial and promote life. Others are harmful and take us in a direction we don't want to go. These attachments could be to behaviors, experiences, events, substances or people. Sometimes we use attachments to distract us from the difficulties in life. The problem with this is that these distractions can turn into addictive behaviors.
Restarting is about learning what goes on in the brain around attachments and how to build joyful, healthy, life-giving attachments that support us in living the abundant life that Jesus intended for us.
