WOMEN'S PRISON MINISTRY
Women's Prison Ministry
Hebrews 13:3 tells us to remember those in prison as if we were there with them. In Matthew 25, Jesus mentions visiting those in prison as evidence of the heart of his true disciples. With this in mind, we have set out to minister to inmates in the women's’ prison in downtown Raleigh. Here are our guiding principles in this mission:

-
To bring the Gospel of Jesus to the pregnant population of The North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women (NCCIW) and witness the love of Christ, His forgiveness and His hope for the future.
-
Volunteers should be devoted to Jesus, having made a commitment to Him and accepted Him as personal Lord and Savior.
-
Volunteers should be willing to commit to monthly participation, as much as feasible, and be willing to minister to the ladies in a small group, leading discussion related to the program.
-
Although it has not been a requirement to lead the program, it is desirable that volunteers recognize their own gifts and talents and that they can share a program or testimony with the ladies. Personal testimonies are always welcome and have a lasting impact on giving these ladies hope. Not all of us have a testimony that we deem has a WOW factor, but all have been saved from sin and death and should be able to share life-changing testimonies, as well as recent testimonies of God’s goodness and grace.
